On 10th February 2024 the Chinese Year of the Green Wood Dragon began!
The dragon stands for connection, transformation, liberation, and the natural flow of life. It pushes us towards making wise decisions for our future and comes with the potential for significant choices.
This year is about personal and collective growth and betterment for the world. March and April will be power-houses according to energy alert readers, in terms of a growing awareness among masses of people about how we are living and about what choices we want to make as a collective.
So for this Podcast I intuitively drew two Dragon related oracles, a card from Diana Cooper’s Dragon deck AND a wonder-ful DRAGON RUNE !! It’s exciting for me having come across the site by “EnglishMystic”, a Shaman who works with Dragons. He and his team have been in touch with over 27 different dragons. Wow. And the result is a set of 27 actual runes which serve as guides on our journeys.
Runes are not a language, but an alphabet – they originated as the Old Germanic alphabet. Each sign represented a sound. Runes were developed around the birth of Christ, probably in Scandinavia. By the year 500 they were being used by Germanic peoples from the Black Sea in the south to Norway and England in the north. Runes are said to hold magical or spiritual powers.
2024 is a Universal 8 Year in Numerology, the year of ‘Cosmic Weaving‘ — taking charge of your life, believing in yourself, and weaving your God given eternal light with grace. Combining this with the Year of the Green Wood Dragon portends a year of success and good fortune.

Fourth-dimensional water dragons are a soft green color and are very beautiful. They help everything to move forward with grace and tranquility. Water dragons’ service work is to maintain the constant movement of Christ light in the waters of our planet.
They help us develop our psychic abilities and intuition. Their message is to flow around your challenges with loving intent. This doesn’t mean ignoring challenges, but learning how to encounter and deal with small problems or unexpected or unwanted happenings with grace and ease.
The Water Dragons help you with by helping you develop your intuition and psychic abilities. Ask them to touch your third eye allowing the petals of the psychic centre to open.
Listen to your inner wisdom and trust that the Water Dragons are guiding you if you ask them to, and the course of your life will run more smoothly. Ask the Water Dragon to cleanse the cells of your body to enable you to shine your light more brightly.
Learn to relax so that the Dragons and your Spirit Guides can get messages to you via sudden thoughts or inspiration or synchronicities, or by repeated numbers, or in your dreams. They will pour the golden white “Christ Light” over your subtle energy field which permeates you physical body.
I like to say “I am my expanded Self” and allow myself to feel my consciousness as an energy field way outside my visible physical body. This helps me to relax and to tune into my intuition also called one’s “Higher Self.”
The Crystal Dragon Rune
EnglishMystic offers 27 channeled dragon runes for guidance!
These Runes were produced through a combination of telepathic communication with the Dragons and advanced technology.
You can read about the runes on their page here, but to get the message or meaning of any of the runes you need to buy just the PDF Guidebook for 8.88 pounds (using a card or PayPal) OR buy a physical set of the runes with the guidebook, or purchase the amazing (expensive) course that goes with the rune set.
I was tempted to purchase a physical Rainbow Rune Set but that would cost me $200 AUD so instead I opted to buy the PDF guidebook instead. This is an 83 PDF book which has several pages for each RUNE with the rune drawing itself, followed by its message, and by a channeled artwork by that dragon. The art is interesting and substantiates the rune drawing and message.
I wish that the Guidebook showed all the Rune Drawings along with their Numbers in the introduction part. It just lists all the Rune Drawings one by one with the corresponding Rune Number.
And the webpage above doesn’t give the Numbers for the Runes, which you can scroll through to view. This means that unless you commit all the runes and their corresponding numbers to memory, if you don’t have the physical runes, you have to scroll through the Guidebook looking for the relevant Rune Drawing that you want the message for!
One day I will just take a screenshot with my computer’s Snipping Tool of each Rune and paste it into a Word document with the corresponding Rune Number, for quick reference.
And so, for March 2024 for the collective, I intuitively selected the Crystal Dragon!!

My Guidebook tells me that the Crystal Dragon’s rune embodies the union of spiritual illumination with personal power, offering valuable insights and opportunities for growth.
Practically speaking and combining this with the Water Dragon, which is about going with the flow, the energy for March 2023 is quite clearly about trusting yourself, having self-belief, and being open to spiritual evolution through acceptance and management of your challenges.
The Crystal Dragon allows people to see through illusions and uncover the truth within or about themselves and their surroundings. So if you focus on self-respect which is the bedrock for self-belief and self-love or self-care, of which all of these are essential for good self-management, you have the power to work on coping methods relevant for you.
Crystals are regularly structured minerals from the Earth with light information encoded in them. This light can come from outer space and from millions of years ago too. Use a real crystal to connect to the Crystal Dragon if you can, OR visualize a green crystal (in the year of the Green Wood Dragon).
See light sparkling from the facets of the crystal reaching into your inner spaces and providing data or information about using your personal power. The Crystal Dragon embodies a potent blend of wisdom, abundance, and profound transformation! Yay!
The Crystal Dragon signifies clarity of perception and a deep connection to one’s intuition, which is essential for the whole month of March 2024.
You are encouraged, with both the Water Dragon reminding you that “going with the flow” means accepting or acknowledging something (so don’t immediately react defensively, but be calm and thus create space to be rational) in order to resolve it with grace and ease, AND the Crystal Dragon reminding you to tap into your instincts and inner knowledge, to create abundance, success, and growth.
Let’s march into March 2024 with our heads held high with the assurance and comfort that we can tune into our intuition successfully by perhaps consciously slowing down or otherwise learning to calm ourselves in times of small troubles or challenges.
I find it beneficial to step away temporarily from an unexpected event, i.e. I do something different and relax (through conscious breathing or calming music) for about 5 minutes and then return to the event that needs attention.
With fresh energy and drawing upon the still or quiet, and calm and confident “voice” inside you, which is your intuition, you will move onward and upward.
NLP or neurolingusitic programming has taught me that when making a decision you have 3 sources to help you:
Your thoughts / mind / mental process.
Your feelings / affective process.
Your “gut” or your intuition.
If two of these three sources gives you the “green light” to go ahead with a choice when you are indecisive, then go with that choice as your flow.
Each symbol of the Dragon Runes holds a unique meaning and can unlock powerful abilities hidden within us all. The symbols are simple and easy to understand, both to the eye and the mind, and the Dragons are always reminding the creator of the Runes that simplicity is the key.
The Dragons say we humans love to overthink and over complicate things. So, go with the flow by being calm and rational and loving and trusting yourself!
